Health Shuttle
The Morrinsville Community Health Shuttle transports people from Morrinsville to Hamilton for medical appointments. The shuttle is operated by a wonderful team of volunteer drivers and support workers, administered by the Morrinsville Lions Club and coordinated by Morrinsville Community House.
The shuttle operates Monday to Friday only and can drop you at Waikato Hospital or any other clinic or health facility in Hamilton.A donation for the trip is requested ($20 suggested) to help us cover the costs. Companions may accompany passengers and hospital visitors may also travel (both subject to availability of seating). Please book the shuttle as far in advance as possible, no later than 24 hours notice.
Child restraint seats must be provided by the caregiver(s) for children under 5 years and for children 5 to 7 years a booster seat must be provided.
Please note: The health shuttle does not have wheelchair facilities.
How to Book the Shuttle
To book the health shuttle please phone us on 07 889 5355 or drop in to see us. We are open from 9am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Please have the following information ready when making a booking:
Name, address and phone number
Appointment time, name of clinic and location in Hamilton
Date of birth and NHI number (if you have a DHB appointment)
Name of your referring doctor in Morrinsville
The evening prior to your travel, the shuttle driver will phone you and advise what time they will pick you up.
Please book the shuttle as far in advance as possible, no later than 24 hours notice.
